Are there any excursions on Travel Department sun holidays?
Yes, whilst we’ll have plenty of leisure time to catch some rays, we’ll also enjoy various excursions on our break in the sun. On our Tenerife holidays we’ll discover Mount Teide national park and on our Algarve tours we’ll get to visit the charming Portuguese towns of Lagos and Faro. Enjoy a Boka Bay boat trip in Montenegro, a guided tour of Nicosia in Cyprus or see Mount Etna in Sicily; whichever destination you choose we offer a variety of exciting guided excursions.
Do I have to participate in all of the excursions on my sun holiday?
No, we want our customers to enjoy their holiday and encourage them to take part in activities that are of interest to them. Our local guides will be happy to make other recommendations.
Which countries are sunny all year round?
Tenerife, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Malta have a pleasant climate and year round sunshine, plus these destinations are served by very regular flights.
What are the best winter sun destinations in Europe?
Our customers enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and mild temperatures in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife during the winter months. Portugal’s Algarve region, with its sandy beaches and laid-back lifestyle, is also a tempting alternative to cold weather and dark, wintry skies. Malta, Cyprus and Greece are also great options with plenty of cultural and historical sights.
Do you offer sun holidays outside of Europe?
On our Egypt Nile River Cruise holiday, towards the end of the tour we can relax in the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada. On our Cuba holidays, there is also a chance to soak up the laid back Caribbean atmosphere in the beachside town of Varadero. On our Discover Sri Lanka and India - Classic Kerala & Goa tours, there are also a few days at leisure to relax on the beach taking in the Indian ocean.
Which sun holidays are the most relaxing?
