Oxford
Home to one of the world’s most famous and oldest universities, the town of Oxford has a distinguished, awe-inspiring air. The city is home to over 1,500 listed buildings and is known as the ‘city of dreaming spires’, a term coined by poet Matthew Arnold to describe the elegance of the famous university buildings. As we wander the streets of this fairy tale city, it will be easy to see why it has inspired so many filmmakers, poets, and writers. On our holidays including Oxford, we’ll enjoy a half day trip with an expert guide to show us the highlights of the city.
Cotswolds
The Cotswolds is a picturesque rural region in south central England with rolling hills, honey-coloured limestone villages, thatched cottages, stately homes and stunning natural beauty. On our holidays to the United Kingdom including the Cotswolds, we’ll visit some of the prettiest towns and villages of the area and take in some of this breathtaking countryside on our way. On our full day excursion, our expert guide will help us explore the heritage of charming villages like Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-World.
Bath
Set in the beautiful rolling countryside of southwest England, Bath has been a popular destination since 60 AD, when the Romans first built a sacred temple and baths over the town’s natural hot springs. Bath is not only famous for its healing waters, it’s also well known for the town’s stunning examples of 18th century Georgian architecture. On our holidays to the United Kingdom including Bath, we’ll admire the town’s breathtaking Georgian buildings as we pass through the Circus and Royal Crescent. We’ll also visit the original Roman Baths, including the statues and temple that remain.
Windsor
A royal residence in the county of Berkshire, Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. Originally built by William the Conqueror in the late 11th century, it has been continuously inhabited by the British royalty since 1110. On our United Kingdom trips including Windsor Castle, we’ll have the opportunity to visit some of the castle’s 13 acres and admire the buildings elements of Georgian, Victorian and Gothic design. During our visit, we’ll be accompanied by an expert, local guide to tell us all about the castle’s rich history and the legacy of the British monarchy.

Buzzing cities and postcard towns, dramatic coastlines and tranquil landscapes are all within easy reach when travelling to the United Kingdom. So much of what gives the United Kingdom its unique appeal is the sheer abundance of history to be found there. With its thatched cottages, fairytale castles, soaring cathedrals and medieval buildings, the variety of architecture to be explored in the United Kingdom is simply astounding. On our trip to the Cotswolds, Windsor and Bath, we’ll see first-hand some of the country’s most incredible landmarks. For gardening enthusiasts, we also offer a selection of gardening holidays to Kent, Sussex, the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and Chelsea Flower Show.

What is included in my holiday?
Travel Department holidays include flights, transfers and hotel accommodation on bed and breakfast, half board or full board basis, and excursions as specified.
All items that are included are clearly stated in our documentation. Add-ons such as insurance, bags and single room supplements are mentioned separately. In some cases you may have to pay a local departure tax or local transport cost. This will be detailed in your documentation and our local guides will assist you with these. Tipping is not included in your holiday price and information regarding tipping will also be included with your travel documents.
Will I be met at the airport?
You will be met on arrival at your destination airport and transferred to your accommodation. You will be accompanied on all included excursions by your Travel Department guide. Your expert local guide is also available to give you tips and advice on any aspect of your holiday.
