    Your Guided Christmas Markets Holiday To Vienna

    Experience the wonderful festive atmosphere with us on this 3-night city break in Vienna. With its glorious architecture and palaces, we’ll feel we have been transported back to the days of the empire, once the imperial jewel in the heart of Europe on this winter stay in Vienna. On this splendid trip, our local expert guide will take us on a half day sightseeing tour and show us the highlights of Vienna such as the Schönbrunn Palace, the Ringstrasse, the Vienna State Opera House, and much more. There will also be plenty of free time to explore the city at your own pace, visit Vienna’s Christmas markets, experience the famous Viennese coffee houses and enjoy delicious coffee and cake; our guide will be happy to provide recommendations!

    Travel to Vienna

    Depart for Vienna. You will be met by our local representative in the arrivals area of the airport before being transferred to your hotel.

    Tour of Vienna & Visit Schonbrunn Palace

    Today;s half day excursion brings you on a guided tour of the city, including a visit to the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, the summer residence of Empress Sisi (entrance fee included) as well as passing some of the most important sights of Vienna including the Hofburg, former Imperial winter residence and scene of the Vienna Congress; the Ringstrasse, with its magnificent buildings such as the Vienna State Opera House and the Votiv Church to name but a few.

    Free Time In Vienna

    You will have today free for shopping in the Christmas markets and sightseeing of your choice. Why not take a trip to the Kunsthistorisches Museum, where you can view works by Raphael, Caravaggio, Brueghel, Bosch and many more celebrated artists.

    Optional Excursion to Bratislava

    Alternatively, today you will have the option to partake in the optional excursion to Bratislava. After meeting out guide in the hotel you will be transferred to Vienna port to take the Twin City Liner. Enjoy the beautiful views along the Danube as you arrive at the compact city of Bratislava. The city is small and best explored on foot as you enjoy a guided walking tour, take in the gorgeous old town which has maintained its Gothic-Baroque style. From Michael's Gate you will take a leisurely stroll through the historic city centre where you can admire sights such as the Primatial Palace and St. Martin's Cathedral, a former coronation cathedral for Hungarian kings, as well as the Academia Istropolitana, the oldest university of the city, which dates back to the 15th century. Afterwards you will have some free to explore the beautiful Christmas markets in Bratislava before returning to Vienna via boat.
