On arrival in Italy, we’ll meet you at the airport and transfer you to our hotel in Tremezzo or Menaggio.
As we travel towards Lake Como, our guide will introduce the region and share a few useful tips to help you make the most of your stay.
Boat Trip Around Lake Como

This morning includes a boat trip across Lake Como, offering views of its shoreline, historic villas and surrounding mountains.
Highlights include:
- A cruise along the lake’s scenic shoreline
- Views of lakeside towns and villas
- A stop in Bellagio, set at the meeting point of the lake’s three branches
Free Afternoon at Lake Como
The afternoon is yours to enjoy Lake Como at your own pace.
You may wish to:
- Wander along the lakeside promenades
- Browse local shops
- Pause at a café overlooking the water
Milan
Full-Day Excursion to Milan
Travel by coach to Milan, Italy’s northern capital, for a guided introduction to the city.
Viewed from the outside on the tour, we’ll see:
- Piazza del Duomo
- Milan Cathedral (Duomo), the largest church in Italy and one of the largest in Europe.
- Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, opened in 1877, is one of the oldest shopping galleries in Italy.
Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore further. You might choose to visit a museum, stop for lunch, or spend time in the city’s shops and galleries.
Free Day at Lake Como
At Leisure
A full day to experience Lake Como in your own way.
You may prefer a relaxed pace or take the opportunity to explore more of the area. Options include:
- Walking along the lakeside
- Visiting nearby towns
- Taking a short boat or water taxi across the lake
During the summer months, the lidos are open, many with cafés and places to sit by the water.
Bernina Express Train & St Moritz
Bernina Express Journey and St Moritz Visit
This full-day excursion takes us into the Swiss Alps, combining a scenic rail journey with time in St Moritz. The Bernina Express route forms part of the Rhaetian Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The day includes:
- Travel by coach to Tirano
- A short stop in Tirano before crossing into Switzerland
- Boarding the Bernina Express in Poschiavo
- A one-hour journey through alpine landscapes and mountain scenery
- The route reaches elevations of over 2,200 metres as it crosses the Alps.
- Disembarking in Diavolezza
After the train journey:
- Continue by coach to St Moritz
- Free time to explore the town and its surroundings
On the return to Lake Como, there is a stop in the Italian town of Chiavenna before arriving back at our hotel.

Two days are available to explore Lake Como more fully.
You may wish to:
- Visit lakeside villas and gardens such as Villa Carlotta or Villa Balbianello
- Explore different towns around the lake
- Enjoy regional dishes including risotto alla Milanese or osso buco

Time to say 'arrivederci' to Lake Como! We'll check out of our hotel and depart by coach to the airport for our return flight.
