MorningToday we meet our garden guide, Frances MacDonald, at Dublin airport for our flight to Manchester where we will transfer on arrival to Levens Hall for a garden visit. This renowned topiary garden with its rose garden and herbaceous borders surrounds a charming Elizabethan house which has been in continual family ownership since 1590.
Cath's Garden Plants
AfternoonThis afternoon we will visit Cath’s Garden Plants, a traditional family run nursery within the walls of an old walled garden. Following our visit we will transfer to our hotel in Kendall.
Dine as a group this evening in our hotel.

MorningAfter a leisurely breakfast we depart for a visit Dalemain House and Garden; enjoy four centuries of House Architecture, five acres of celebrated gardens, historic parkland and home-made food served in the Medieval Hall Tearoom.
Holehird Gardens
AfternoonOur afternoon excursion is to the beautiful Holehird Gardens which are managed and maintained by volunteers of the Lakeland Horticultural Socieity. Offering stunning views over Windermere highlights of our visit include the Walled Garden, Upper Garden and several glasshouses.

EveningThis evening is free to experience one of the many restaurants in Kendal; Frances will advise/escort.
Rydal Mount, Dove Cottage and cruise on Lake Windermere

MorningFollowing breakfast we begin with a visit to Rydal Mount House and Gardens which was William Wordsworth’s home from 1813 until his death in 1850. The house dates back to the 16th century and the 5 acre garden consists of fell-side terraces, rock pools and an ancient mound. Next we will explore the tiny Dove Cottage where the Wordsworth Museum can be explored.
Lake Windermere Cruise
AfternoonEnjoy some free time at leisure in Ambleside for lunch or shopping before boarding our afternoon cruise on Lake Windermere travelling from Ambleside to Bowness where we will rejoin our coach and return to our hotel for our evening meal.
Holker Hall & Gardens, Bridgewater Garden and Return to Dublin

MorningThis morning, following breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and travel to Holker Hall & Gardens which is magnificently situated a short distance from Grange-over-Sands and the expanse of Morcambe Bay. The estate is set in exceptionally beautiful countryside with gardens that merge into parkland, framed by the Lakeland Hills.
Bridgewater RHS Garden & Return to Dublin
AfternoonThis afternoon we will explore the RHS Garden of Bridgewater which is one of the largest gardening projects in Europe and the fifth garden in the RHS portfolio.
Transfer to Manchester airport for our return flight to Dublin.
