Known as the ‘floating flower garden’, the beautiful island of Madeira is situated in the Atlantic Ocean between the Canaries and Portugal. This Portuguese territory is lapped by the waters of the Gulf Stream and was discovered in the 15th century by explorers in the service of Prince Henry the Navigator. In fact, it is the summit of an underwater mountain.

Offering the visitor a kaleidoscope of visual treats, with green terraced mountainsides, a superb climate, dramatic rocky outcrops and picturesque villages, Madeira has it all. With a tour of the city of Funchal, free time to relax by the sea and an excursion taking in the best viewing points and beauty spots of eastern Madeira, this botanical paradise will leave you with lasting memories.
